D. K. Shivakumar is set to become India’s richest Chief Minister with declared assets worth more than ₹1,413 crore, according to recent reports. The senior Congress leader is expected to overtake Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in terms of declared wealth.
Popularly known as DKS, Shivakumar has long been regarded as one of India’s wealthiest politicians. Apart from his political influence, he is also known for his preference for luxury brands including Gucci, Prada, Rolex, Hublot, and Louis Vuitton.
The development comes as Shivakumar prepares to take on a larger leadership role in Karnataka politics after years as a key Congress strategist and power broker. Analysts say his elevation marks a significant shift in the state’s political landscape.
