Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) has officially launched its sports broadcasting division under the brand name Unite8 Sports, following approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The launch comes shortly after the company announced an eight-year broadcasting partnership with FIFA, which includes coverage rights for all matches, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 in India.
As part of the rollout, ZEEL has introduced four channels: Unite8 Sports 1, Unite8 Sports 1 HD, Unite8 Sports 2, and Unite8 Sports 2 HD. These channels are now available across more than 500 cable and distribution platforms nationwide.
The network will cover a broad range of sports, including football, cricket, kabaddi, badminton, wrestling, boxing, and other combat sports, aiming to expand sports content access across India.
Speaking on the launch, Bavesh Janavlekar, Chief Business Officer of Unite8 Sports, said the focus is on ensuring smooth access for viewers through strong distribution partnerships. He added that the network is prepared to broadcast upcoming FIFA events and deliver a high-quality viewing experience to sports fans across the country.
