Nvidia has announced a new AI-focused PC chip called RTX Spark, marking the company’s major push into consumer computers powered by artificial intelligence. The announcement was made by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during his keynote speech at the Computex 2026 in Taiwan.

Nvidia described RTX Spark as a “superchip” built for the era of personal AI agents, aiming to transform computers from simple tools into intelligent digital teammates. The chip will power a new generation of Windows PCs from major manufacturers including Lenovo, HP, Dell, Microsoft Surface, Asus, and MSI. Devices are expected to launch later this year.

The move positions Nvidia directly against established PC chipmakers like Intel, AMD, and even Apple, as the company expands beyond its traditional graphics processor business into AI-integrated personal computing. Analysts say the launch represents a major shift in the future of PCs, with AI becoming central to computing experiences.

The announcement also comes amid growing geopolitical tensions around advanced AI chips. Just days earlier, the US tightened export rules restricting the sale of Nvidia’s most advanced AI processors to Chinese companies and their overseas subsidiaries as Washington continues efforts to limit China’s access to high-end AI technology.
