IndiGo will raise fuel charges on domestic and international flights from October 6, citing a sharp rise in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices. The revised charges will apply to all new bookings made from October 6, 2026.

For domestic flights, the fuel charge will range from ₹375 for journeys up to 500 km to ₹1,300 for flights covering more than 2,000 km. Charges for distances of 501–1,000 km, 1,001–1,500 km and 1,501–2,000 km will be ₹600, ₹900 and ₹1,150 respectively.
International fuel charges will vary by destination. SAARC flights will attract ₹1,000 for routes up to 500 km and ₹3,000 beyond 500 km. Flights to Southeast Asia, the Gulf, the Middle East, North Asia and East Asia will carry a ₹5,500 charge, while Africa and Europe will attract ₹6,000.
IndiGo said the latest month-on-month increase in fuel prices exceeded 14%, taking ATF costs to among their highest levels in the last decade. The airline described the revised charges as a measured adjustment aimed at limiting the impact on passengers while responding to higher operating costs.
