myTVS ties up with MoEVing
As a step further in developing its MaaS platform, myTVS has tied up with MoEVing, a logistics firm headquartered in Gurgaon, which provides services based on EVs to manage fleet operations, through an integrated management service. The integration of such services aims at increasing efficiency and sustainability in logistics.
Investment Plans and Fleet
As part of its forays into the electric space, myTVS aims to invest between INR 100-150 cr to acquire 10,000 electric two-wheelers by March. This buy will help it capitalise on the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the logistics space and shore up its MaaS platform’s operations.
Vision of Managing Director
G. Srinivasa Raghavan, MD of myTVS said, “The launch of our MaaS platform is the most important step towards fulfilling the transformation of mobility in India. We are dealing with a bigger challenge in last-mile delivery, such as managing a fleet of electric vehicles. Our service alleviates the pain of ownership and allows operators to have best-in-class vehicle management services.”.
More importance lies in having a robust ecosystem for the fleet operators of EVs, according to Raghavan, who said that long research proved the need for bespoke solutions. According to him, “We realised that what fleet operators really require is a closed-loop ecosystem to thrive.” He went on to state that the MaaS platform presents an agile, digital solution that could work to the needs of operations diversity.
Growth and Future Goals
The expansion strategy for myTVS is to strengthen its presence across India. Currently, with 1,000 outlets spread across 400 towns, the company aims to hit an increased milestone of 2,500 outlets in 800 towns in the next two years. This growth will not only serve to enhance its aftermarket services for a million customers but will also play a role in the greater goal of pushing forth the adoption of clean energy solutions within the logistics sector.
Raghavan concluded, “We believe the electrification of logistics is unavoidable. We are committed to leading this transformation. Adding 10,000 electric vehicles to our fleet goes beyond scaling our business-it makes us part of changing the future of logistics in a sustainable way.”.
