Global air travel has witnessed a remarkable rebound, with total passenger traffic estimated to have reached 9.8 billion in 2025. According to the latest data released by ACI World, the rankings reflect an industry-wide recovery driven by international demand and a strong resurgence in the Asia-Pacific region.

While India’s aviation sector is growing rapidly, no Indian airport featured in the elite top 10 this year. Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport remains the nation’s busiest, but it currently sits just outside the top tier globally. The list continues to be dominated by the United States, which claims four of the top ten spots, and China, which saw massive jumps for its major hubs.
