Indian Railways is set to launch a new weekly Amrit Bharat Express connecting Ahmedabad in Gujarat with Bhagalpur in Bihar. The regular service is scheduled to begin later this month, providing a direct rail link between western India and eastern Bihar.

The new service, numbered 19423/19424 Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express, will be introduced by extending and regularising the existing Ahmedabad-Patna special train service up to Bhagalpur.
The Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur train will begin its regular run from Ahmedabad on August 26 and operate every Wednesday. The return service from Bhagalpur will start on August 28 and run every Friday.
Train 19423 will leave Ahmedabad at 6:30 pm on Wednesday and reach Bhagalpur at 6:40 am on Friday. Major stops along the route include Anand, Tundla, Patna, Abhaipur, Jamalpur Junction and Sultanganj.
In the reverse direction, Train 19424 will depart Bhagalpur at 4:45 pm on Friday and arrive in Ahmedabad at 5:25 am on Sunday. It will pass through Sultanganj, Jamalpur Junction, Abhaipur, Patna, Tundla and Anand before reaching Ahmedabad.
The train will also stop at several major stations across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, including Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bayana, Agra Idgah, Govindpuri, Subedarganj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama and Kiul.
The new Amrit Bharat Express will provide a direct weekly connection between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur while improving connectivity across several important cities and regions along the route.
