Ather Energy is set to launch its first mass-market electric scooter on August 29, marking a significant expansion beyond its premium offerings. The new scooter will be built on the company’s next-generation EL platform, designed to support multiple affordable electric two-wheelers in the future.

The EL platform has been developed to improve manufacturing efficiency, lower production costs and deliver a balance of performance, range and reliability for mainstream buyers. The move reflects Ather’s strategy to compete more aggressively in India’s fast-growing mass-market electric scooter segment.
With electric two-wheeler adoption accelerating across the country, the upcoming launch is expected to help Ather broaden its market reach and strengthen its position against rivals such as Ola Electric, TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp. The new platform is also expected to play a key role in the company’s long-term product expansion plans.
