Prime Minister Narendra Modi met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Evian, France, reaffirming the strong strategic partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting, PM Modi extended a formal invitation to the UAE President to participate in the BRICS Summit, which India will host later this year under its BRICS chairmanship.
The two leaders reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, energy, technology, and connectivity, while also discussing regional and global developments of mutual interest.
India and the UAE have significantly expanded their strategic and economic ties in recent years, with collaboration spanning infrastructure, clean energy, logistics, digital innovation, and food security.
The invitation highlights India’s efforts to strengthen engagement with key BRICS partners and friendly nations as it prepares to host the summit, where issues such as economic resilience, sustainable development, multilateral cooperation, and Global South priorities are expected to feature prominently.
The meeting also underscored the growing importance of India-UAE relations in shaping economic cooperation and regional stability amid evolving global geopolitical dynamics.
