George V Nereamparambil, an Indian businessman, has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the largest property owner in the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. Owning 22 luxury apartments in the iconic structure, George’s journey from a humble mechanic to a real estate tycoon is a testament to his perseverance and business acumen.

George was born in Kerala and faced financial hardships from a young age. To support his family, he began working at eleven, assisting his father in the cash crop trade and transportation. He later started a small business making gum from leftover cotton seeds.

In 1976, George moved to Sharjah, where he identified a significant opportunity in the air conditioning industry. He founded his own company, which grew into the GEO Group of Companies, establishing him as a prominent businessman in the Gulf region.

George’s journey to owning multiple apartments in the Burj Khalifa began as a personal challenge. In 2010, when a relative remarked that he would never enter the building, George took it to heart. He initially rented an apartment in the tower and later began purchasing more. Today, he owns 22 of the 900 luxury apartments, making him the largest property owner in the building.

With a net worth of Rs 4800 crores, George V Nereamparambil stands among the wealthiest entrepreneurs with property in the Burj Khalifa. His success story is an inspiration, highlighting his rise from modest beginnings to becoming a major real estate mogul in one of the world’s most prestigious addresses.
