Ravichandran Ashwin, the celebrated Indian off-spinner, announced his retirement from international cricket on December 18, 2024. This announcement came after the conclusion of the third Test between Australia and India in Brisbane. Despite retiring from international cricket, Ashwin will continue to play franchise cricket, making his next appearance for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025.

Ashwin’s Net Worth

As of 2024, Ravichandran Ashwin’s net worth is estimated at INR 132 crore (approximately USD 16 million). His income comes from various sources, including his contributions to international cricket, the IPL, and brand endorsements.

Income from BCCI and IPL

Ashwin held a Grade A contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), earning an annual salary of INR 5 crore. In addition, he earned match fees for each game he played—Rs 15 lakh for Tests, Rs 6 lakh for ODIs, and Rs 3 lakh for T20Is.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Ashwin has accumulated INR 97.5 crore since his debut in 2008. For the IPL 2025 season, CSK signed him for INR 9.75 crore.

Brand Endorsements and Business Ventures

Ashwin is also a popular figure among brands, earning Rs 4.5-5 crore per endorsement. He has built a media company called Carrom Balls, focusing on brand promotions and influencer marketing.

Luxurious Lifestyle

Ashwin lives in a luxurious house in Chennai, valued at around INR 9 crore. He also owns an Audi Q7 and a Rolls Royce, reflecting his affluence.

Ashwin’s YouTube Channels

Ashwin is active on YouTube with two channels. His first, titled ‘Ashwin’, features him discussing cricket in his native Tamil. The second, ‘Ash Ki Baat’, is in Hindi, where he shares his cricket insights.

Contribution to CSK’s High-Performance Centre

Apart from his on-field career, Ashwin plays an integral role at the Chennai Super Kings High-Performance Centre, guiding both the centre and the Super Kings academies.
