Tata Motors has unveiled its first Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) truck, the Prima 4440.S AMT, at the Heavy Equipment and Trucks (HEAT) Show in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Built on the renowned Prima platform, the Prima 4440.S AMT combines driver comfort with a durable drivetrain. The truck includes advanced features like a Load-Based Speed Control System, Shift-Down Protection, and Auto Start-Stop, which optimise fuel efficiency and enhance productivity. Powered by a Euro-V compliant 8.9-litre Cummins engine, it delivers 400bhp and 1700Nm of torque, making it ideal for heavy-duty operations. Its pneumatic suspension ensures a smoother ride, while the cabin is designed for driver comfort with adjustable seating and steering.
