On the ninth day of Navratri, followers of Hinduism perform a ritual known as Ayudha Puja, dedicated to honouring the machinery and vehicles that play a vital role in daily life. For MTB Nagaraj, the richest MLA in India, this ritual extends to his extensive collection of luxury cars, including multi-crore sedans, SUVs, and supercars. Recently, a video showcasing Nagaraj’s Ayudha Puja was shared online, highlighting his impressive automotive lineup.
Showcasing the Collection
The video, shared on YouTube by VA Supercars, features several of Nagaraj’s vehicles driving out of his home. It’s important to note that this isn’t his entire collection, as he possesses many more cars in his garage.
The Crown Jewel: Rolls Royce Phantom
At the forefront of the collection is Nagaraj’s prized possession, a Rolls Royce Phantom Series VIII, which is valued at over Rs 12 crore. This elegant white sedan features a brushed silver bonnet and is powered by a formidable 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, producing 563 bhp and 900 Nm of torque.
Ferrari F8 Tributo and Land Rover Defender
Following the Rolls Royce, the video showcases a striking Brilliant Blue Ferrari F8 Tributo. This mid-engined V8 sports car, priced around Rs 4.02 crore, is equipped with a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged engine, delivering an impressive 710 bhp and 770 Nm of torque. Next in line is the Land Rover Defender 110, finished in Gondwana Stone metallic. While the exact engine choice for this SUV remains undisclosed, it offers options of either a 2.0-liter or a 3.0-liter petrol engine, alongside a powerful 5.0-liter V8 variant.
Luxury Meets Power: Range Rover Autobiography and BMW XM
Another highlight is the Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography LWB, painted in Lantau Bronze. This luxury SUV typically features a 4.4-liter petrol engine or a 3.0-liter diesel turbocharged unit, generating 346 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, the latest entry in Nagaraj’s collection is the BMW XM, delivered in June 2024. Finished in Dravit Grey Metallic, this flagship SUV boasts a remarkable mileage of 62 kmpl. It combines a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a total output of 653 PS and 800 Nm of peak torque, with an electric range of 88 km.
A Nod to Humble Vehicles
The video also features a selection of more modest vehicles from Nagaraj’s collection, including a Toyota Fortuner, two Innova Crysta MPVs, and a Maruti Omni. The Omni, likely only used during Ayudha Puja, holds sentimental value for Nagaraj as it has been part of his collection for many years.
