Preparations are underway for the launch of several Vande Bharat Express trains across Jharkhand, including a new route between Dumka and Ranchi. This service is set to run six days a week, excluding Fridays. The train will pass through New Giridih and Koderma, departing from Ranchi at 5:00 AM and from Dumka at 6:20 AM.
Detailed Route and Timings
The proposed route for the Ranchi-Dumka Vande Bharat Express includes stops at:
- Tatisilve: 5:15 AM
- Mesra: 5:23 AM
- Barkakana: 6:15 AM
- Hazaribagh Town: 7:10 AM
- Koderma: 8:20 AM
- New Giridih: 10:33 AM
- Mahesh Munda: 10:55 AM
The train will also connect Deoghar to Varanasi, following the same route from September 15.
Train Cancellations Due to Non-Interlocking
Due to non-interlocking work for the new fourth line at Bhupdevpur station in Chhattisgarh, four trains on the Jasidih route have been cancelled. The cancellations affect train number 17008 Darbhanga-Secunderabad Express on September 10, 13, 17, and 20. This work is part of preparations for new electrified sections in the Bilaspur division.
