Indian badminton star PV Sindhu has drawn attention after being spotted wearing a small AI-powered device near her temple during competition.

Called Temple, the wearable is designed to monitor signals related to brain activity, including cerebral blood flow and brain oxygenation. It is currently being tested to track performance-related metrics.
The device was developed by Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal and is being tested by Sindhu to understand how real-time data could help improve athletic performance. Earlier reports said it can continuously monitor blood flow in the forehead and provide feedback on cognition and other metrics.
The technology is still in the testing stage, but its use by a top athlete could offer a glimpse into how AI-powered wearables may shape sports performance and training in the future.
