Hero MotoCorp, a leading player in the Indian two-wheeler market, has made a strategic move into the premium 125cc segment with the launch of the Xtreme 125R. Priced competitively starting from Rs 95,000, the Xtreme 125R is Hero’s inaugural foray into the sporty motorcycle category within the 125cc class. This new addition competes directly with the TVS Raider and the Bajaj Pulsar NS125.
Hero Xtreme 125R: Styling that Commands Attention:
Staying true to its Xtreme DNA, the 125cc motorcycle showcases a distinctive design featuring LED DRLs, LED indicators, LED tail lamp, and a groundbreaking inclusion of LED projector headlights, a first in this segment. Boasting a muscular tank, split seat, twin grab rails, tyre hugger, and a compact chunky exhaust, the Xtreme 125R is available in two variants — IBS and ABS, with three color options: Cobalt Blue, Firestorm Red, and Stallion Black. The IBS variant is priced at Rs 95,000, while the ABS variant is available at Rs 99,500, ex-showroom.
Hero Xtreme 125R: Advanced Hardware for Superior Performance:
Equipped with a new diamond frame and a 37mm front suspension, the Xtreme 125R features a seven-step adjustable mono-shock, developed in collaboration with Showa. The entry-level variant comes with a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm drum, complemented by a combination braking system. The top model includes a 276mm front disc brake and single-channel ABS. Noteworthy features include the widest-in-segment rear tyre at 120/80, a hazard lamp, and an all-digital LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts.
Hero Xtreme 125R: Powerful and Efficient Engine:
Powering the Xtreme 125R is a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine generating 11.4bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. Paired with a 5-speed gearbox, Hero claims a swift 0-60 kmph acceleration in just 5.9 seconds. The bike incorporates the i3S idle stop-start system, contributing to an impressive fuel efficiency of 66 kmpl.
