Zoho Corporation has announced the launch of its first designed-in-India server, named Nathu La, marking the company’s formal entry into the hardware segment. Known globally for its software products and cloud-based business applications, Zoho is now expanding its footprint into technology infrastructure.
The Nathu La server has been developed with a focus on enterprise computing, cloud services and data centre applications. The company aims to offer an integrated technology ecosystem by combining its software expertise with indigenous hardware capabilities.

According to Zoho, the server is part of a broader strategy to build a vertically integrated technology stack and strengthen India’s technological self-reliance. The initiative aligns with the country’s growing emphasis on domestic innovation, digital infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.
The move is significant because India’s server market has traditionally been dominated by international hardware manufacturers. By designing and developing server technology locally, Zoho hopes to contribute to the development of a stronger domestic technology ecosystem.
Industry observers view the launch as an important step in India’s ambitions to become a global hub for technology development and manufacturing. As demand for data centres, cloud computing and AI infrastructure continues to grow, indigenous server solutions could play an increasingly important role in the country’s digital future.
