Kerala budget hit by price hike, significant allocation for start-up IT sectors. 90.52 crores has been announced in the budget for the Kerala StartUp Mission as an incentive to grow entrepreneurship.
A total of Rs 120.52 crore has been allocated to this sector, including an additional allocation of Rs 30 crore for Fund of Funds allocation. 26 crore for Technopark, 35 crore for Infopark, 12.3 crore for Kozhikode Cyber Park and 100 crore for K-Phone. 71.84 crores have been allocated in the budget for Kerala Space Park. The budget also announced that Kannur IT Park will start functioning this year.
A scheme similar to work from home will be introduced in the tourism sector as well. 10 crore has been allocated for preparations. 50 crores have been allocated for setting up IT Remote Work Centers and Work Near Home Common Facility Centers.2.50 crore has been earmarked for revitalization of MSMEs affected by floods and Covid-19. 31.75 crore has been sanctioned for various industrial parks under KSIDC. 7 crores have been allocated for eco-tourism while 50 crores have been allocated in the budget for tourism corridors.
