Saudi Arabia’s Alfanar Group is investing $100 million in Senvion India, its Indian wind turbine manufacturing business, to fund product development and expansion plans.

The investment will support Senvion’s long-term product roadmap, growth in India and export markets, and expansion of its project pipeline.
The first $34 million tranche has already been received, with the remaining investment expected shortly. Senvion India currently has around 1.5 GW of annual manufacturing capacity across facilities in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The investment comes as India’s wind energy sector attracts renewed interest amid efforts to strengthen domestic renewable energy manufacturing and expand clean-energy capacity.
