Mahindra & Mahindra has clarified that a temporary hold by Indonesia on vehicle imports will not affect its production and delivery schedule for light commercial vehicles (LCVs). The automaker said it remains on track to deliver about 35,000 LCVs this year, including popular models such as the Scorpio Pik Up series.

The comment came amid reports that Indonesia had paused certain vehicle shipments as it reviews import policies and compliance requirements. Mahindra emphasised that it is engaging with Indonesian authorities to address any regulatory concerns and ensure smooth operations.
Despite the import hold, Mahindra said its overall commercial vehicle strategy remains robust, with strong domestic demand and export commitments intact. The company also highlighted that it is working to align with regulatory standards so that future shipments to Indonesia and other markets can proceed without disruption.
Mahindra’s LCVs, including the Scorpio Pik Up, have gained traction in India and select overseas markets for their durability, versatility and cost-effectiveness. By reaffirming its delivery target, the company seeks to reassure customers and stakeholders about supply continuity and long-term global ambitions in commercial mobility.
