MINI India has launched the Cooper Oxford Edition at ₹55.5 lakh (ex-showroom), marking 25 years of modern MINI production at BMW Group’s Oxford plant in the UK. The limited-edition three-door hatchback is available in limited quantities, with bookings open at authorised MINI dealerships and deliveries beginning immediately.

British-inspired exterior design
The Oxford Edition is offered in two exterior colours: Indigo Sunset Blue and Chilli Red. It features a white contrast roof with Union Jack graphics, white mirror caps, an exclusive crossed-flags sticker on the boot and 18-inch Slide Spoke two-tone alloy wheels.
The British theme continues inside the cabin through special door sills, a steering wheel detail and themed floor mats. The model is based on the Cooper’s Favoured Pack.
Technology and interior features
The cabin includes a 240 mm circular OLED touchscreen running MINI Operating System 9, a voice-controlled MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant, a head-up display, Harman Kardon surround sound, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other features include JCW Sport Seats, a panoramic glass roof and electric adjustment for the driver’s seat. The dashboard and door panels use recycled knitted fabric, with a chrome-free and leather-free finish.
Engine and performance
The MINI Cooper Oxford Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed Steptronic Sport dual-clutch automatic transmission.
MINI claims a 0–100 kmph acceleration time of 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 242 kmph. The car also gets adaptive suspension, JCW Sport Brakes and safety features including Dynamic Stability Control, ABS, Brake Assist, a rear-view camera and tyre pressure monitoring.
The Oxford Edition is imported as a completely built-up unit (CBU). It celebrates the Oxford plant’s role in MINI’s history: the original Mini began production there in 1959, while BMW Group has manufactured the modern MINI at the facility since 2001.
