India’s women’s compound archery team won the gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, defeating China 238-234 in the final. The Indian team comprised Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep.
The Indian trio maintained the lead throughout the final and finished with a series of perfect 10s. Their score of 238 equalled the world record set by South Korea at the 2014 Asian Games.
The victory also saw India retain the women’s compound archery team title after winning gold at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. For Jyothi, it was her fourth Asian Games gold, while Chikitha and Prithika won their first Asian Games gold medals.
India had earlier defeated South Korea 235-233 in the semifinal to enter the gold-medal clash.
