Kerala and Malaysia are looking to strengthen cooperation across several key sectors following a meeting between Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

The discussions focused on expanding collaboration in IT, tourism, education and commerce. Both sides also explored opportunities for investment, knowledge exchange and development partnerships.
The meeting comes as Kerala seeks to build stronger international partnerships and attract greater investment across high-value sectors. Malaysia, meanwhile, is looking to deepen its economic engagement with Kerala, particularly in areas linked to the digital economy, healthcare, tourism and education.
The discussions are expected to create new opportunities for businesses, investors and institutions while strengthening long-standing people-to-people and economic links between Kerala and Malaysia.
