The 2026 FIFA World Cup ended with Spain lifting the trophy and several of its players taking home the tournament’s biggest individual awards.
Spain captain Rodri was named the tournament’s best player and won the Golden Ball after leading the midfield throughout Spain’s title-winning campaign. Unai Simón claimed the Golden Glove as the tournament’s best goalkeeper, while teenage defender Pau Cubarsí won the Young Player Award.
France star Kylian Mbappé won the Golden Boot after finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals. The achievement also made him the first player to win the World Cup Golden Boot twice, following his success in 2022.
Spain’s dominance in the individual awards added to its historic campaign, with the team defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final to claim its second FIFA World Cup title.
