Real estate developer Omaxe has announced the launch of a dedicated hospitality business vertical, marking a major diversification into the hotel sector with an investment plan of around ₹6,200 crore over the next four to five years.

The new vertical will focus on developing 19 hotels across nearly 5 million square feet, spread across five states and 13 cities, with projects subject to regulatory approvals, market conditions and project-specific clearances.
Hotels Planned Across 13 Cities
The hospitality expansion will be integrated with Omaxe’s existing ecosystem of townships, mixed-use developments and commercial projects. Out of the planned 19 hotels, 12 will be located in Uttar Pradesh, including key destinations such as Ayodhya, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kaushambi and Vrindavan.
Outside Uttar Pradesh, Omaxe will develop hotels in New Delhi, Faridabad and Ujjain, along with four additional properties across Chandigarh, Amritsar and Ludhiana, including two in Chandigarh.
Expansion Across Religious and Urban Tourism Hubs
The project footprint will span high-growth urban centres, pilgrimage destinations and transit corridors, aligning with rising demand from religious tourism, business travel and leisure segments.
A key development includes a 158-key Gateway Hotel by IHCL at The Omaxe State in Dwarka, New Delhi. The project is being developed as part of a public-private partnership with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The company will also build transit-oriented hospitality infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).
Integrated Hospitality Strategy
According to the company, the hospitality assets will be developed as part of its broader integrated development model, complementing townships, commercial hubs and infrastructure projects. The portfolio will include midscale and upscale branded hotels, luxury properties, pilgrimage-focused hotels and serviced apartments designed for extended stays.
Omaxe Managing Director Mohit Goel said the move reflects growing demand for structured hospitality infrastructure in emerging cities, supported by improved connectivity and rising travel activity.
Revenue Potential and Phased Investment
The investment will be deployed in phases over the next several years. Based on current assumptions, the hospitality business is expected to generate around ₹1,000 crore in annual revenue once operations stabilise, subject to execution and market conditions.
The company is also in advanced discussions with domestic and international hospitality operators for branding and management partnerships, with formal announcements expected after agreements are finalised.
