The United Arab Emirates has firmly denied reports claiming that it transferred $3 billion to Iran. In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the allegations as “entirely false and unfounded” and clarified that no frozen Iranian assets had been released, transferred, or routed through the country.

The denial comes after several media reports cited sources alleging that the UAE had agreed to unlock billions of dollars in Iranian funds as part of broader regional diplomatic efforts. Some reports even claimed that an initial tranche of more than $3 billion had already been delivered.
Rejecting these claims, the UAE reiterated that the reports lack factual basis and urged media outlets to rely on official sources for information regarding sensitive financial and diplomatic matters.
The conflicting reports emerge amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and discussions surrounding frozen Iranian assets held abroad.
