Marriott International has announced strong expansion milestones for The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott in India, marking rapid growth under its partnership with Concept Hospitality Private Limited (CHPL).

In less than six months since the brand launched in November 2025, 75 hotels have been signed and 50 are already operational, adding more than 3,500 rooms to Marriott’s India portfolio. The company said this makes India a key driver in the early success and global rollout of the Series by Marriott brand.
Marriott International Senior Vice President for South Asia, Kiran Andicot, said the pace of growth reflects the strength of the model, calling India a “proof of concept” for the brand. He added that the focus remains on delivering consistent guest experiences while offering owners a flexible conversion-friendly platform supported by Marriott Bonvoy and its global distribution network.
The portfolio now spans 43 cities across India, covering Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 markets, combining regional hospitality with Marriott’s global systems. The partnership with CHPL blends The Fern’s local identity and sustainability focus with Marriott’s international standards and reach.
Concept Hospitality Managing Director Suhail Kannampilly said the bigger achievement is not just the number of signings, but the fact that many hotels are already open and operating successfully. He highlighted strong demand from owners and travellers, supported by sustainability-led hospitality and Marriott’s global network.
Series by Marriott is positioned as a collection brand that integrates locally recognised hotel groups into the Marriott Bonvoy ecosystem, offering both international standards and destination-specific experiences. The portfolio spans business hotels, heritage locations, and leisure destinations across India.
