Rolls-Royce has announced plans to at least double its supply chain sourcing from India by 2030 as part of its long-term commitment to the country’s “Make in India” manufacturing vision.
The company currently sources a wide range of high-precision components and engine parts from Indian suppliers for its civil aerospace, defence, and power systems businesses. Rolls-Royce now aims to significantly expand sourcing of advanced aerospace engine parts, naval propulsion systems, diesel engines, and gas turbines from India.

Rolls-Royce has built major partnerships in India with companies including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bharat Forge, Tata Group, and Godrej & Boyce to manufacture and supply critical aerospace and defence components.
The company has also expanded its engineering and technology footprint in India, with Bengaluru housing one of Rolls-Royce’s largest global capability centres. More than 2,000 engineers in India are already contributing to the company’s global development programmes.
Industry experts believe India is becoming an increasingly important global hub for aerospace and defence manufacturing as international companies diversify supply chains and seek high-skilled engineering talent. Rolls-Royce’s expansion plans are being viewed as another major endorsement of India’s growing advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
