In a significant gesture of benevolence, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has ordered the exemption of 303 Emirati citizens from repaying housing loans amounting to Dh101 million. This decision, announced on June 4, 2025, comes as part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to support its citizens and enhance social welfare.

The initiative aligns with directives from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. It coincides with the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, a period marked by increased charitable acts and spiritual reflection in the Islamic calendar, leading up to the celebration of Eid Al Adha.
This move underscores the leadership’s commitment to alleviating financial burdens on citizens and promoting social stability.
