India has introduced its largest wind energy project, which will supply power to 3 million households. This major step forward in clean energy was reported by Asian News International (ANI) on Monday.

Partnership and Project Details
The project is led by NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a government-owned company, and is being developed in partnership with the Suzlon Group. It involves installing 370 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a capacity of 3.15 megawatts (MW). These turbines will be placed at three different sites in Gujarat, a state in western India.
Significance and Impact
This is the first large-scale wind energy project undertaken by NGEL, marking a significant boost to its wind energy portfolio. The project underscores India’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy resources and moving towards more sustainable energy solutions.
