What kind of impact will the Funding Winter have on Indian startups?

What advice would you give Entrepreneurs seeking funding?

What to watch out for when investing in a business?

The managing partner of the investment firm Brij Singh,General Partner,Rebright Partners, speaks with Channeliam.com.

When choosing a business for investment, the team is given more importance than the company. Their background, the understanding of the products, unique ability either in terms of the idea or execution of the product, distribution and sales. We want to find the X factor on how they can get to the next stage.

Funding winter will affect companies more at the leader stage. For founders who are in the early stage, there’s enough capital available for them. There won’t be a major effect on startups at the growth stage.

One of the unique things about founders from non metro areas of India , what they should really do is build a product that they can scale within their local ecosystem. Kerala is one of the states which has the highest literacy rate, capital income, has a huge diaspora, People who move out of the country come back and give that access to the entrepreneurs, to newer markets. I would highly recommend founders and entrepreneurs to leverage this.
