Starlink Internet Services initiated refunds pre-orders for the internet connections. They collected $99 or Rs 7,400 from customers.
Trouble for Starlink
The move comes after a stern warning from the Department of Telecommunications. It had barred Starlink from offering any services. Starlink is yet to receive regulatory approvals from the government. The company had plans to launch services in 10 Lok Sabha constituencies. India was considered one of its key markets.
