Tata Motors has made more money per car in the second quarter than Maruti Suzuki.
Maruti Suzuki reported a 24 per cent drop in sales at 1,38,335 units in October.
Tata posted a 31% year-on-year jump and a 16% month-on-month growth in total sales.
The operating profit of Tata Motors per car climbed to Rs 45,810 in the second quarter.
Tata Motors’ better results are due to huge demand momentum and flexibility.
R&D activities also supported the gain.
It rapidly rolled out re-engineered products relying on standard chipsets.
Tata Motors market share climbed to 11.3 per cent in September 2021.
Maruti’s market share has dipped due to a shortage of parts.
