India’s first green hydrogen blending project was officially launched on January 3 by state-owned NTPC. The piped natural gas (PNG) network of the NTPC Kawas township, in Surat, has begun blending green hydrogen. The project is a collaboration between Gujarat Gas Ltd. and NTPC (GGL). P. Ram Prasad, the project’s Kawas leader, started the first molecule of green hydrogen from the plant while other senior executives from NTPC Kawas and GGL looked on.
