bdulla Nooruddin, a successful businessman of Indian origin living in Dubai, has gained attention for creating a nostalgic tribute to his roots in Kerala. Despite spending over 30 years in the UAE, Nooruddin’s heart remains deeply connected to the rural Kerala of the 1980s, which he has carefully recreated in his Dubai villa.

A Home Reflecting Kerala’s Past

Nooruddin’s residence in Dubai is designed to mirror the architecture and lifestyle of 1980s Kerala. The house features traditional elements like hand-carved wooden doors, tiled roofs, and the distinctive layout typical of Kerala homes. Inside, vintage furnishings such as classic furniture, an old rotary telephone, a brass lamp, and an antique typewriter transport visitors back in time. Even the analog wall clock and a 1970s television antenna on the roof add to the authentic nostalgic atmosphere.

Daily Life Rooted in Tradition

Every morning, Nooruddin continues a simple ritual from his childhood—picking fresh fruits and vegetables from his backyard garden. This practice is not only practical but serves as an emotional connection to the simplicity and rhythms of rural life he experienced growing up in Kerala.

Vintage Cars and Viral Popularity

Adding to his retro lifestyle, Nooruddin owns a collection of beautifully restored vintage cars, one of which appeared in the American TV show The Vampire Diaries. His lifestyle recently went viral on social media when a video showing his daily routine with 1980s-style visuals and music garnered over two million views. The video resonated with many viewers, highlighting a longing for mindful living in a fast-paced world.

Recognition and Residency in the UAE

In 2019, the UAE government honored Nooruddin with the prestigious Gold Card residency, granting him and his family a ten-year visa without the need for a sponsor. This elite status allows him to support his staff and operate his business ventures comfortably within the country.

A Diverse Business Career

Professionally, Abdulla Nooruddin has built a strong presence in several industries, including airport logistics, construction, hospitality, and food services. His contributions have played a part in the economic growth of the UAE region.

A Message of Mindful Living

Nooruddin’s unique lifestyle emphasizes the value of remembering one’s roots and embracing simplicity. In a rapidly advancing world, his dedication to preserving the spirit of 1980s Kerala serves as a reminder that true luxury lies in honoring one’s heritage and living mindfully.
