Prosus has introduced the Tech FoundHER Challenge to help women-led startups in India by providing funding, mentorship, and access to global networks. This initiative, in collaboration with Encubay and VAIA Climate, aims to close the funding gap for women in the tech industry.
Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
Encubay focuses on bridging the gap for female entrepreneurs by offering access to capital and mentorship. Prosus, a global tech investor, has already invested nearly $9 billion in India, backing successful startups like Swiggy, Meesho, and PharmEasy.
Tackling the Funding Gap
Research shows that women-led startups receive less than 5% of global venture capital. The Tech FoundHER Challenge aims to change this by offering funding and opportunities for growth. The challenge is open for applications until April 4, 2025, and 30 startups will be shortlisted based on innovation and scalability. The top six will pitch for up to $50K in equity-free funding on May 25, 2025, in Bangalore.
Mentorship and Networking Opportunities
The finalists will present to a panel of experts, including Anjali Bansal, Priyanka Chopra, and Martin Tschopp. Encubay, with a global network of 10,000 stakeholders, will help these startups grow and scale.

This challenge is a key step toward supporting women entrepreneurs in the tech space, providing them with the resources and networks to succeed. It will help foster innovation and create new opportunities for women in India’s tech ecosystem.
