A fraudulent letter circulating online claims to offer a loan of INR 5,00,000 under the PM Mudra Yojana scheme, asking for a payment of INR 2,100. This misleading offer has been thoroughly investigated and debunked by the Channeliam Fact Check team, who confirmed that the letter is fake and has not been issued by any official government body.

Details of the Fake Loan Offer

The letter attempts to deceive people by offering a loan of INR 5,00,000 under the government’s PM Mudra Yojana for a payment of INR 2,100. This is a common tactic used by scammers to create confusion and trick individuals seeking financial help. The letter falsely claims that the loan can be processed after making this payment, preying on people’s financial needs.

Channeliam Fact Check Investigation

Upon investigation, Channeliam Fact Check clarified that the MUDRA (Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency) does not directly issue loans to individuals. Instead, the loans are provided through recognized banks and financial institutions. Furthermore, there is no requirement for an upfront fee to avail the benefits of the PM Mudra Yojana.

How to Identify Such Scams

Fraudulent schemes like this often involve fake letters or emails that mislead people into making payments for services that do not exist. The Channeliam Fact Check team emphasized the importance of verifying any loan offers before proceeding, especially if the offer asks for a payment upfront.

Why It’s Crucial to Stay Vigilant

Scammers frequently take advantage of government schemes to trick individuals. By offering false promises, these criminals create urgency and manipulate people into paying for non-existent services. Channeliam Fact Check urges the public to verify such offers through official sources and stay cautious of any unsolicited communications that request payments.
