Neville Tata, son of Noel Tata, the new chairman of Tata Trusts, is becoming a key figure within the Tata Group. As head of Star Bazaar, Neville is set to take on more responsibilities in the company, with guidance from his father Noel Tata. Reports suggest that Noel will closely oversee Neville’s progress, potentially grooming him for leadership roles within Tata’s hypermarket business or other areas in the group.

Leadership in Tata Trusts

Neville’s involvement isn’t limited to retail. Alongside his sisters Leah and Maya Tata, he serves as a trustee in some Tata Trusts, indicating a strategy to prepare the next generation for influential roles in the group. Leah oversees responsibilities at Indian Hotels, while Maya contributes to Tata Digital, highlighting the family’s integrated approach across Tata Group’s ventures.

Key Facts About Neville Tata

Position: Head of Star Bazaar.

Family: Son of Tata Trust chairman Noel Tata and married to Manasi Kirloskar, who is involved in social initiatives and business.

Education: Graduate of Bayes Business School.

Career Path: Began his career managing Zudio, a budget fashion brand under Trent Ltd, before moving to Star Bazaar.

Personal and Family Ties

Neville is married to Manasi Kirloskar, who is also from an influential

family in Indian industry. Manasi, educated at Rhode Island School of Design, is involved with Caring with Colour, an NGO focused on education in Karnataka. Her background in leadership and philanthropy complements Neville’s growing role in the Tata Group.

Potential for Future Leadership

If Noel Tata assumes full leadership of Tata Trusts, it could set the stage for Neville to step into a significant leadership position at Tata Sons.
