Anjali Pandey has been appointed as the President of Generation at Tata Power, effective immediately. Prior to this role, she served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Cummins Group in India, bringing over 20 years of expertise in strategic management and operational leadership in the manufacturing industry.
Tata Power announced her new position, stating that she will lead the company’s generation business starting October 1, 2024. In her role, Anjali will oversee both clean and conventional energy generation efforts, focusing on operational excellence and sustainable initiatives throughout the company’s portfolio.
Anjali holds an MBA in business strategy and finance from the Kelley School of Business in the USA and a degree in Production Engineering from Pune University. She joined Cummins in 2001 and became COO in December 2022. Throughout her 23-year tenure at Cummins, Anjali has held various leadership positions across business, purchasing, internal audit, strategy, and general management. Before her promotion to COO, she led the Engine and Components Business.
Now, Anjali is poised to contribute to one of India’s largest conglomerates. Tata Power, headquartered in Mumbai, is a major electric utility and electricity generation company with a market capitalization of ₹1.40 lakh crore as of October 1, with its shares priced at ₹481 on the NSE.
