During the company’s Q4 earnings call, Google CEO Sundar Pichai reportedly disclosed the company’s plans to introduce a ChatGPT rival. Pichai stated that Google has been working on its artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot since the beginning of 2022 and that it has “huge ambitions” for it. These plans are anticipated to be unveiled over the coming months.

Additionally, he emphasised how Google’s AI would enable customers to “interact directly” with the company’s “newest, most potent language models as a companion to search.” Google’s AI chatbot LaMDA will be among the first tools to be made available to the general public. The only people with access to this technology have been Google’s developers and beta testers.

The company allegedly announced a search and AI event, according to a recent The Verge report. On February 8, “Google presents: Live from Paris” will air. Google is probably going to introduce its own AI chatbot that will compete with ChatGPT at this occasion.

Google AI event
Google reportedly sent out invitations for the AI event. Online access to the invitation’s image is also provided. According to the source, the 40-minute event would be broadcast live on YouTube on February 8 at 8:30 am ET (6:30 pm IST).

Google is “reimagining how people search for, explore, and engage with information,” according to the event’s YouTube description. To locate what users need, the business intends to make this process “more natural and intuitive than ever before.” Google will talk about “better information access for people everywhere, through Search, Maps and beyond” at this event.
