An EV yatra portal and smartphone application that enables in-vehicle navigation to the closest public EV charger are set to launch by President Droupadi Murmu.
At a ceremony honouring National Energy Conservation Day, the President will also present awards to the recipients of the National Energy Efficiency Innovation Awards and National Energy Conservation Awards, the Power Ministry announced in a release on Tuesday.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has created a website to disseminate information on various federal and state-level programmes to encourage e-mobility in the nation, as well as a mobile application to help in-vehicle navigation to the closest public EV charger.
Additionally, BEE has created a web interface that enables operators of charging points (CPOs) to securely enter their charging information into the National Online Database.
Every year on December 14, Energy Conservation Day 2022 is observed to highlight the accomplishments of the country in energy efficiency and conservation.
Along with Krishan Pal, Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries, and Alok Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Power, it was announced that R. K. Singh, Union Minister of Power, New & Renewable Energy, will also be in attendance.
