The decision by Elon Musk-run Twitter to fire its staff in India has drawn criticism from Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who claims that they should have been given a “reasonable time for transition.”
Vaishnaw stated, “We criticise the manner in which Twitter has terminated employees in India,” adding that the company “should have provided the employees a fair opportunity for transition.”
The cutbacks in India affected a variety of divisions, including corporate communications, sales, and marketing.
