RBIH and Bank of Baroda promote Swanari finance solutions

The Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, is all set to promote financial inclusion of women in India in partnership with the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India.

Welcome to another segment of Channel IM news. Today, we bring to you news that would excite female entrepreneurs. Bank of Baroda said it will be the ‘scale-up partner’ for RBIH’s inaugural edition of its programme ‘Swanari TechSprint’, which would focus on developing digital solutions to help women achieve financial security and independence.

The programme will positively impact the lives of more than 331 million adult women. This will support 13 million women-led enterprises and 7.45 million self-help groups across multiple areas. The programme will provide women with ways to improve access, adoption, and usage of digital financial services. It will further improve the readiness of service providers to offer relevant financial products, and offer entrepreneurship support mechanisms for women enterprises.

Vikramaditya Singh Khichi, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda said that this collaborative approach, which is centred on innovation will ensure the best outcomes for women, accelerating the economic empowerment of India’s women.

The core objective of the Swanari TechSprint is to improve the financial inclusion of women in India using technology. It will serve as a platform to encourage women-led startups. It will also support women in tech to create smart, creative and sustainable solutions for women from low- and middle-income backgrounds and for women-owned enterprises in India.

Of the two event tracks available for participation, one will focus on creating a minimum viable product (MVP) with usable features to be tested by and validated by users. The second track will focus on solving problems and designing prototypes.

Using technology to provide solutions to the country’s critical problems is a powerful idea. Channel IM takes pride in bringing to you the news updates. For more Informative news, subscribe to Channel IM. See you next time,
