US-based alternative asset manager Blackstone has opened its second office in India in Bengaluru, expanding its presence in one of its priority markets. The new office will function as a Global Capability Centre (GCC), strengthening the firm’s operational capabilities in India and supporting its global businesses.

Located at Prestige Lakeshore Drive in Bellandur, east Bengaluru, the office will bring together Blackstone employees and professional services partnerships across corporate functions. The office park is jointly owned by Blackstone Real Estate and Prestige Group and houses several global finance and technology firms.
Susan Yung to Oversee the Centre
Susan Yung, Senior Managing Director in Blackstone Credit & Insurance’s Investment Operations team, will oversee the new centre. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and previously lived in Bengaluru while working at Goldman Sachs.
Blackstone’s investment professionals will continue to operate from Mumbai, which remains the firm’s India headquarters. The Bengaluru centre will focus on supporting corporate functions and strengthening operational capabilities across the company’s global businesses.
Blackstone Deepens Its India Presence
Blackstone established its presence in India around two decades ago and has since expanded across real estate, private equity, credit and insurance, and infrastructure. The company says it is India’s largest owner of office, retail and logistics assets.
The firm has also helped launch five of India’s six listed real estate investment trusts (REITs), including the country’s first, and has taken 14 companies public across its businesses in India.
The Bengaluru office marks another step in Blackstone’s long-term commitment to India, as it builds operational capabilities to support its global business activities.
