Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) arm of Reliance Industries, has entered India’s ready-to-drink dairy market with the launch of Joyland flavoured milk in Tamil Nadu. Priced at ₹20, the product is initially available in strawberry and vanilla flavours. The company plans to expand its reach across India following the state-level launch.

Joyland Expands Reliance’s Beverage Portfolio
The launch marks RCPL’s entry into the packaged flavoured milk segment, adding a dairy-based product to its growing beverage portfolio. The company said Joyland combines dairy ingredients, quality and affordability in a convenient ready-to-drink format.
According to RCPL Director T. Krishnakumar, Tamil Nadu is the starting point for the brand’s expansion. The company plans to introduce additional flavours and explore multiple dairy beverage categories as it gradually takes Joyland to more markets.
Competition with Established Dairy Brands
Joyland enters a market that includes established brands such as Amul Kool, Mother Dairy, Nandini, ITC’s Sunfeast Smoodh and Cavin’s. These companies already sell flavoured milk and other value-added dairy beverages through established distribution networks.
At ₹20, Joyland is positioned in the affordable segment. Its entry could increase competition as beverage companies seek to attract consumers looking for convenient, flavoured dairy drinks. Reliance’s retail and distribution network could support the product’s expansion, although sustained demand will depend on availability, product quality and repeat purchases.
India’s Flavoured Milk Market Grows
India’s flavoured milk market is projected to reach ₹8,360 crore in 2026, up from ₹7,600 crore in 2025 and ₹4,420 crore in 2021, according to figures cited by The Economic Times from a Euromonitor report. The growth reflects the expanding market for value-added dairy products and convenient beverages.
Reliance’s entry adds another large consumer goods player to the segment. Its planned national rollout and future product additions will determine how Joyland competes with existing brands across regional and national markets.
