Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and SkyPulse Solutions IFSC have signed an MoU for a proposed 30-helicopter programme estimated at ₹2,491 crore. The agreement covers the acquisition, financing, leasing, deployment and lifecycle support of HAL-manufactured helicopters.
SkyPulse plans to acquire up to 30 helicopters in phases. The first phase will involve 10 helicopters between 2027 and 2029, followed by 20 additional helicopters from 2030 onwards. Initial induction is planned for FY 2027–28, subject to approvals, financing and production availability.
The partnership will explore leasing and financing models through GIFT City IFSC, including operating and finance leases, direct purchases and sale-and-leaseback arrangements.
The helicopters could be deployed for emergency medical services, disaster response, search and rescue, regional connectivity, tourism, government aviation, infrastructure and charter operations.
The MoU also covers maintenance, engineering support, spare parts and training, with the companies exploring a broader lifecycle-support ecosystem for Indian-manufactured helicopters.
