The Railways will operate six weekly round trips of a special train between Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Thiruvananthapuram North during October and November.
The service will run via Mangaluru Junction, providing additional travel options between Mumbai, Kerala and destinations along the Konkan and Malabar routes.
Mumbai to Thiruvananthapuram
Train No. 01463 Mumbai LTT–Thiruvananthapuram North Special will leave Mumbai LTT at 4 p.m. on October 15, 22 and 29, and November 5, 12 and 19.
The train will reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 11.30 p.m. the following day.
The return service, Train No. 01464 Thiruvananthapuram North–Mumbai LTT Special, will depart from Thiruvananthapuram North at 2.15 p.m. on October 17, 24 and 31, and November 7, 14 and 21.
It will reach Mumbai LTT at 11.55 p.m. the next day.
Coach Details
The special train will have a total of 22 coaches, including:
- 4 AC 3-tier coaches
- 11 sleeper class coaches
- 5 general second-class coaches
- 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches
Major Stops
The train will have commercial halts at several stations across Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Kerala.
Major stops include Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Madgaon, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Udupi, Mangaluru Junction, Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chengannur, Kayamkulam, Kollam and Varkala Sivagiri, among other stations.
The service will cover key destinations along the Konkan Railway and the Kerala route.
Advance Booking
According to Southern Railway, advance reservation for the special train will open at 8 a.m. on Monday through the Southern Railway reservation system.
Passengers planning to travel on the special services can book their tickets in advance to secure seats during the October and November travel period.
