AVG Logistics is set to expand its electric vehicle fleet through a partnership with EV leasing company DRIVN, with plans to deploy 100 electric trucks for commercial freight operations.

The deployment will take place in phases, beginning with 30 electric trucks. The remaining 70 vehicles will be added through subsequent phases.
The companies have not yet revealed the specific truck models or routes where the vehicles will operate. DRIVN said the electric trucks will support AVG Logistics across a range of operational requirements.
DRIVN To Support EV Fleet Expansion
DRIVN specialises in leasing electric vehicles for heavy commercial fleets. Through the partnership, the company will provide its EV financing and leasing expertise, while AVG Logistics will bring its established freight and logistics operations.
The collaboration aims to make electric trucks more accessible to commercial fleet operators by reducing the upfront cost associated with fleet electrification.
Focus On Scalable Electric Freight
DRIVN Co-founder and Chief Business Officer Alpna Jain said the next stage of electric freight adoption will depend not only on the availability of electric trucks but also on how effectively they can be integrated into commercial fleets at scale.
She said the partnership with AVG Logistics brings together an established logistics operator and a leasing-based model designed around the requirements of commercial freight operations.
The companies will work on matching suitable electric trucks, financing structures and operational use cases to make EV leasing commercially viable for more fleet operators.
AVG Targets Sustainable Freight Operations
Vinayak Gupta, Chief Strategy Officer and ESG Head at AVG Logistics, said the agreement reflects the company’s focus on adopting solutions that can make freight operations more efficient and sustainable.
By combining AVG’s logistics expertise with DRIVN’s EV financing and leasing capabilities, the companies aim to develop a scalable approach for introducing electric trucks into commercial fleets while maintaining operational reliability and efficiency.
Leasing Model Gains Attention In Logistics
The partnership comes as logistics companies across India increasingly look at leasing and financing options to reduce the high upfront costs involved in shifting commercial fleets to electric vehicles.
For DRIVN, the 100-truck agreement represents an opportunity to expand electric heavy-duty freight beyond individual fleet deployments and demonstrate the potential of leasing-led EV adoption in the commercial logistics sector.
The phased deployment is expected to provide both companies with an opportunity to assess how electric trucks can be integrated into different freight operations while building a larger pathway for commercial fleet electrification.
