India and Russia are exploring a wider range of industrial partnerships as both countries seek to deepen cooperation in railways, aerospace, unmanned aerial vehicles, critical minerals and advanced manufacturing. The discussions took place during the 12th Session of the India-Russia Working Group on Modernization and Industrial Cooperation.
Among the key areas discussed were India’s Vande Bharat train programme and Russia’s SJ-100 regional aircraft. The talks also examined opportunities to expand cooperation in railway infrastructure and aerospace manufacturing, potentially opening new avenues for technology sharing and industrial collaboration.
UAVs were another major focus, with both sides exploring ways to strengthen cooperation in unmanned aerial systems. Discussions also covered critical minerals, 3D printing and other advanced manufacturing capabilities, highlighting the broader technological scope of the partnership.
The latest engagement reflects an effort by India and Russia to build deeper industrial linkages through joint manufacturing, technology partnerships and modernisation projects. The focus on sectors such as railways, aerospace and advanced technology could help diversify bilateral economic cooperation beyond traditional areas.
