As the co-founder of Portea Medical, Meena has redefined how healthcare is delivered in India. Starting with essential services like physiotherapy and at-home doctor consultations, Portea expanded to include palliative care, cancer care, and stroke rehabilitation—even playing a frontline role during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering home isolation support when hospitals were overwhelmed.
But Meena’s influence goes far beyond Portea. With her husband, Ganesh Krishnan, she co-founded GrowthStory, a venture-building platform that has nurtured startups like BigBasket, HomeLane, and Bluestone—household names in Indian e-commerce and lifestyle.
Her entrepreneurial story began in 2000 when she co-founded Customer Asset, a BPO venture later acquired by ICICI. This success was followed by TutorVista, which revolutionized online education and was acquired by Pearson.
